1. To assess the occurrence of selected bacterial pathogens among diarrhoeic and non-diarrhoeic children in Butajira area

2. To determine the antimicrobial susceptibility profile of identified pathogens in the study subjects and their living environment, livestock owned and water sources for domestic use

3. To investigate the determinants of childhood diarrhoea in Butajira area
