Objectives:

1. To evaluate the prevalence of IgG antibodies against T. gondii

a. in women and their livestock in Butajira,

b. in self-presenting ocular toxoplasmosis patients presenting at Menelik hospital

2. To isolate and genotype T. gondii strains from human, animal (livestock and cats) and environmental samples

3. To identify the role of oocysts in transmission pathways of infection to both human and animals
